Airtame

  1. Click here to download Airtame.
  2. Once Airtame finishes downloading, open up the app.
  • Opening Airtame on Windows:
    • Press the windows button on your keyboard and type “Airtame” in the search text box.
    • Click on the “Open” option to open Airtame.
  • Opening Airtame on Mac:
    • Click on the Launchpad icon located on the Mac taskbar.
    • Type “Airtame” in the search text box.
    • Click on the Airtame app to open it up.
  1. Please turn on the TV with the Airtame if you have not already done so. You may need to switch the input on the TV to navigate to the “Present Wirelessly” Airtame screen. If you do not know how to change the TV input, please follow the instructions below.
  • On the TV remote, look for a symbol that looks like the “A” icon (compare to the picture below).
  • Press the button and a menu like the one below should pop up.
  • With the remote, navigate to the input that you would like to connect to (Note: The Airtame will not always be connected to HDMI 1, so please do not worry if you do not see HDMI 1 but another option)
  1. Once you have the Airtame screen open on the TV, look for the IP address (check image below). You will need this for step 5. (Note: The IP address for each Airtame will be different. Do not worry if you do not see the exact same IP address shown below).
  1. Before connecting to the Airtame, please ensure your device is using “ncsu” wifi and not “eduroam”, “ncsu-guest”, or another wifi. Type in the Airtame’s IP address into the “Name or IP address” text box on your device. 
  1. Hover your mouse over the Airtame option and click on “Share Screen“.
  1. Your laptop screen should now be displaying on the TV screen.
  2. If you run into any issues, please let the IT team know either by going to the IT Service Desk Suite located in Nelson 2400, sending a ticket on ServiceNow, calling IT by using the following phone number: 919-515-0030, or by asking to schedule a meeting online.
  3. If there are any issues with following the instructions above, please let the IT team know so we can revise it to be easier to understand.
